This event is on June 27th with the Park opening at 10:00 a.m. This year, in addition, we will have a “Youth and Family Gathering” at Dorney’s Center State that is open to all ages and runs from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The coupon is bar coded so Dorney Park can scan each coupon and keep track of how many are from your conference. In turn your conference will get $3 for each of your coupons that are used that day. A check will be sent to your conference several months after our UMC event.
HOW IT WORKS
Please distribute the coupon to your churches. The churches then email them to their members or download them and distribute them by hand, put a stack in the narthex or in the bulletin. As you see, with these coupons the holders can enter the Park for $33, (a $21 discount off of the regular price of $54). The beauty of this coupon system is that there is no requirement to order tickets in advance. If it is a rainy day or something comes up, you just don’t go. You don’t lose any money. On June 27 your folks just take the coupon to the ticket window when you arrive at the park to buy your ticket. This is a great way for your members to reach out to their friends and neighbors and invite them to a fun day of fellowship with your United Methodist family. The same goes for your churches’ youth groups. We do ask that you do not distribute the coupons in the Dorney Park parking lot.
On the 27th we will have a small tent set up at the Haunted Mansion House Hotel where we can meet each other and say hello.
