Heidi Hoover

I am Heidi Hoover, and this is my 8th year as the director of Grace Christian Preschool.  I look forward to getting to know all of our preschoolers and families personally this school year.  I am eager to be able to greet families each day in the hallway and to be a part of classroom activities and field trips.  I enjoy traveling to favorite places like Disney World, Key West, and Charleston — as well as new destinations — with my husband and our 16-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter.  I am a morning person, a beach lover, and a cat lover, and am also a fan of coffee and pumpkin-flavored anything!   I like to be active and always moving…cheering at my son’s lacrosse games and my daughter’s gymnastics events; taking walks around my neighborhood in South Hanover; and supporting Lower Dauphin sports, art, and musical events.  I am blessed to have the opportunity to share my Christian faith as well as my love of fitness, books, language, and music with the children of Grace.

Joanne Black

Hi!  My name is Joanne Black.  This is my first year at Grace Christian Preschool, and I will be teaching the 2’s/3’s “Grow and Go” Class as well as helping to teach the Pre-K Lunch Bunch.  After years of working in television and advertising, I feel so blessed to be able to return to the preschool classroom — where my true passion lies!  I enjoy helping young children discover the wonders of the world around them, and I like to bring fun and energy to the classroom through music, exercise, and creative games.  I believe it is so important to teach about God’s love, and to always show kindness to one another.  I have the best teammates in life — my wonderful husband, two beautiful sons, and my trusty dog, Hershey Bear.  Our family enjoys going together to Senators baseball games, Bears hockey games, and Hersheypark.  Aside from time with my family, my favorite things include all types of music, Penn State, the California Coast, ice cream, pumpkin pie, and chocolate!  I look forward to a fantastic year with our preschoolers!

Ashley Duignan

My name is Ashley Duignan.  This is my first year teaching at Grace Christian Preschool.  I will be the assistant teacher in the 2’s/3’s “Grow and Go” Class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  I have a degree in biology and also work at a local animal hospital.  I love to read and spend my free time in the mountains.  I have 3 sons, who have all attended classes at Grace over the last 4 years.  I am looking forward to this new experience with our youngest preschoolers.  We will learn and grow together.

Yvonne Abela

I am Yvonne Abela, and I will be teaching the 3’s Class this year in my 4th year at Grace Christian Preschool.  I’m very excited to share my love of books, messy art, and music in the classroom.  In my spare time (!), I enjoy the outdoors, crafting, and seeing movies with my family.  On my list of favorites, the beach is right near the top.  With my family — including 10-year-old Amber and 6-year-old Trevor, and my husband — I enjoy shelling, swimming, and playing games in the sand.  We have a dog named Beatrix and a bunny named Simba.  I am excited to assist in building strong foundations with confidence, kindness, manners, and creativity at the forefront.

Kim Neithercoat

My name is Kim Neithercoat, and I will be assisting in the 3’s Class, and the 4’s Lunch Bunch, this year.  I am very proud to say that this is my 7th year at Grace Christian Preschool in the 3’s class.  I am looking forward to making the children feel comfortable in a preschool environment while helping them learn and have a memorable and fun experience.  I have twin boys in high school and a son in the middle school, as well as a dog and two cats.  I really enjoy the beach, our pets, my family and friends, and teaching at Grace Christian Preschool.  I am very excited about another year of fun and learning with the 3’s Class and working with the 4’s Lunch Bunch!

Amy Heuer

My name is Amy Heuer. I am so happy to be starting my 7th year at Grace Christian Preschool. I have been a member of Grace Church for a little over 20 years, and I was very excited when I heard that they were starting a preschool program; I just knew that I wanted to be involved! I am the lead teacher for the morning and afternoon 4’s classes as well as a Lunch Bunch teacher for the 3’s classes. I look forward to making crafts with the children, reading books to them, and finding various ways to help them learn! I believe that each child is special and valuable and deserves to be treated with lots of love, kindness, and respect. When I’m not in preschool, I stay busy taking my two children to their various activities. I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy reading, traveling, bike riding, singing, playing hand bells, and going on long walks with my dog, Trevor.

Aly Lim

Hi!  I’m Aly Lim, and I grew up in the Hershey/Hummelstown area.  I have three years of experience as a Preschool Assistant Teacher, and this is my second year with Grace Christian Preschool in the 4’s Class.  Over the past summer, I finished my Master’s degree at Penn State University and I have a background in Emergency Medicine and Preparedness.  I have a side business in photography and am a huge animal lover!  I love to share my pets with the students when the opportunity arises.  My hope is to finish my foster-to-adopt a child program soon, and I am so excited to meet your children this school year.

Cathy Madison

My name is Cathy Madison.  I am excited to be starting my 7th year at Grace Christian Preschool.  I am the lead teacher for the morning and afternoon Pre-K classes and look forward to introducing exciting new concepts to our Pre-K friends.  We can hardly wait to discover new “word families”, create and eat special treats, plus find out some unique “Show and Tell” items that our preschoolers will be bringing in to share with our class.  I enjoy swimming, walking my pampered Shitzu, Cloe Ann, and picnics on our deck listening to Jimmy Buffet or Bon Jovi.  I love vacations to the Florida Gulf area (mostly Disney!) with my husband, my 22-year-old son, and my 18-year-old daughter, where new adventures await us on every trip.  I am excited and blessed to have the opportunity to watch our Pre-K students grow and develop in faith, friendship, love, creativity, knowledge, and education.
