Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.— Mark 9:36
When was the last time you invited someone to your home for dinner? Or took someone out for a meal? Did you ever think that as a member of Christ’s Church you are His representative or host in the world around you? Could you consider therefore to invite a friend or neighbor to worship who does not already attend a congregation? Most people attend a church because they were first invited by a friend, neighbor, or co-worker. Many of the people or families that join our Church do as a result of your loving and kind greeting on a Sunday morning. One couple that recently joined our Church never felt so much affirmation and love in a worship service before. Their only regret was that they didn’t join sooner.
I would encourage every member of Grace Church to mark your calendar for Sunday, November 8th, when we will celebrate our annual Bring-A-Friend To Worship Sunday. Two weeks prior to that date there will be a gift to pick-up at church and give to a friend, neighbor, or co-worker with an invitation to attend worship service at either 8:30, 9:35 or 10:45am Sunday morning. It will be an exciting time to meet and greet so many new friends. What a wonderful outreach! If you have been missing Sunday morning worship, I would encourage you to come. You belong with your Church Family on Sunday morning—and you are missed. If you are attending and haven’t already—invite a friend. Let us help others to experience the loving, saving grace of God through Jesus Christ. Mark 9:36
