Next Sunday, Sept. 25, we will conduct a special offering for our Susquehanna Conference UMC Christian education programming. The offering will directly support our children’s camp and retreat ministry. The camp environment is the antidote to the stresses and challenges facing our youth today. It provides a safe place where children can simply be children. More information will be provided in a special flyer next week. Contributions can be made at Grace or through

This Thursday evening at “The Table of Grace” we’re serving cheesesteaks and garlic fries. Make sure to sign up by today at the table in the Narthex. Dinner is served in the All-Purpose Room from 5 to 6:30 p.m. every Thursday. The menu for Sept. 29 is grilled cheese and tomato soup. Dinner is a free-will donation and, in order to adequately prepare, we request that you sign up by Sunday for that week’s dinner. Come and join us for a good home-cooked meal and fellowship!

If you are interested or simply curious about membership at Grace, please join us on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 6:30 p.m. for an informal coffee hour hosted by Rev. John. Orientation classes for all prospective members will begin on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room and will continue for the next five weeks as follows: Sunday Oct. 9, Oct. 16, Oct. 23, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6. Membership vows are taken on Nov. 6 at the 10:45 a.m. service. This is a time of getting acquainted while becoming more engaged followers of Jesus. The study, A Disciple’s Path, combines a Wesleyan understanding of our growth in God’s love and grace with time-tested practices of spiritual discipline expressed in the membership vows to uphold the church with our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness. Please contact Tammy Houck at 717-566-2897 or if you are interested in attending the coffee hour, and indicate if child care is needed.
