lessing of the Backpacks!  Sunday, August 23rd, during the Children’s Message at the 10:45 am worship service, Rev. John will be doing a Blessing of the Backpacks.  Please encourage your child(ren) to bring along with them whatever backpack, lunch box, and or courier bag they will take with them to school.  When they go up front for the message, whatever they brought can go along with them for Rev. John to bless.  Thanks!

It’s time once again for Grace’s annual Sausage/Shortcake Sale held at the Hummelstown Arts Festival on Saturday, September 19th. We encourage you to support this important fundraiser for our Church. There’s many opportunities for you to volunteer and we could especially use your help selling sausages and shortcakes at Grace’s booth on the day of the Festival. Sign-up in the Narthex.

Great job, Graceful Gardeners! Looked at the GG table lately?  Every Sunday it’s full of luscious, fresh vegetables and beautiful flowers.  The selection is impressive (tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, squash, beets, beans, and many more) and the quality would make a farmer jealous.  Make a donation, take it home, enjoy it, and benefit the Hummelstown Food Bank.

Empty Paper Towel Tubes are needed for an upcoming ECM lesson. If you could remember to bring your empty paper towel tubes with you to Grace on Sunday, that would be awesome. Just place them in the church office. Thanks!

My name is Brendon Little and I am a member here at GUMC. I am completing my Eagle Scout Project. I will be building a sidewalk to connect the Youth Room and Pastor’s Office entrance. In order to raise funds, I will be conducting a Keystone Candle sale. Please see the display, samples and order forms in the Narthex. If you would like to make a donation instead of buying a candle, make the check out to “GUMC” and under memo put “Graceful Walk Project.” Hand the check in to the church office. Candle orders are due TODAY by the end of the 10:45 am service. The estimated date to pick up candles is August 23rd.
