It’s time, finally.  Yup, time for GUMC’s Hoss’s Dining Day Out.  Enjoy lunch or dinner at Hoss’s in Hummelstown on Tuesday, April 5, and support this summer’s mission trip.  Be sure to take a coupon to give your server; extra copies are available at the Welcome Center.  Next Sunday, April 10, is delivery day for the Hoss’s frozen dinners – pick them up in the APR between services or after the 10:45 service.  Many thanks for your support.

Praise God!  The weather is now starting to turn warm and spring-like! Sometimes in the absence of cold weather and fall and winter holidays, we forget that there are still people in our community who are in need of food to survive. The Hummelstown Food Bank has been very blessed this year by donations. However, they could still use donations of their most popular items, including peanut butter and jelly, canned pasta (Chef Boyardee, for example), tuna, salmon, chicken, spam, and canned evaporated milk.  If you would pick a few of these items up next time you shop, you can drop them in the Food Bank boxes in the Narthex. It’s a tremendous blessing for a lot of people!

There seems to be more interest in the Cake Auction on Sunday, April 10th than including the Potluck and Talent Show, so we decided to go with just the Cake Auction during the Sunday morning hours. All funds received for the Cakes will go to our Music Ministry at Grace. See Serena Heffner for additional information.

Mark your calendars for Cave Quest VBS Week Monday, June 13th through Friday, June 17th from 6 to 8:30pm. The kids will have a ball!

Do you have old computer equipment that you are looking to discard? If so, gather any functional or nonfunctional computers/printers/accessories and bring them to the Lobby outside the APR between May 8th and May 12th. May 13th, the equipment will be taken to the Conference’s Computer Ministry, an organization that will refurbish and donate to non-profit ministries and organizations in need.

Have you registered yet for the 2nd Annual 5K Hummelstown Hunger Run/Walk on Saturday, May 14th?  All proceeds benefit the Hummelstown Food Pantry. To register on-line, download a registration form, or volunteer, please go to or call Jill Osevala at 512-6922.
