Beginning today, our FOCUS group is offering a 6-week Lenten series entitled “John: The Gospel of Light and Life” by author Adam Hamilton. The Gospel of John, the most spiritual of the four gospels, is filled with rich images and profound truths. However, John notes that his aim in writing the gospel is that readers will not only believe in Jesus Christ, but that they may have life in his name. Participants will follow the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus through this gospel and gain a deeper understanding of the context of some of the best-known verses in the New Testament. The series concludes on Sunday, April 9. Join us Sundays in Room 202 at 9:30 a.m. Come join our Men of Faith group on Wednesday, March 8, at 6 p.m. in room 202 for Tony Evan’s “Kingdom Man” series. We will watch a short video and then have some discussion. See Sec Briselli for details or any questions.
It’s not too late to join our 2017 Lenten study program “Creed.” In this study, Adam Hamilton considers the important questions of life, reality and truth. He explores not only what Christians believe, but also why they believe it and why it matters. Two class times are available: Thursdays, now through April 6 from 6 to 7 p.m. in room 202 or Sundays, now through April 2 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A suggested offering of $13 to cover material costs is requested. Note: Child care is available during our Thursday evening session.
